Spirit Farm Gypsy Cobs was created by us, Shreyasi and Frank Brodhecker, in June 2019, just before we competed at our first ever ‘Feathered Horse Classic’ in Red Deer. The formal creation of our company came in late 2019 and we relocated, moving our herd of previously boarded horses, to our beautiful location in Sherwood Park, Alberta. 2019 was a BIG year for us!

Spirit Farm started with a dream and a LOVE of horses in 2017 when Frank introduced Shreyasi to the world of horses, barns and boarding! The more time we spent at the barn the more the dream began to grow and we began to learn to connect with our horses on a deeper level as well as becoming more skilled equestrians with our coaches Rhonda Bignell of Hawkstone Stables and Katelyn Carter of Free Rein Ranch.

Although horses may not have much in common with our day jobs, working in mental health, the tangible energy and awakening of a lifetime love of horses has translated into a happier work life and renewed personal commitment for us. We feel so grateful for the experiences we’ve had. There have been serendipitous connections along the way and we continue to challenge ourselves every day.
